Dr. Larry Kelley

 

Dr. Larry Kelley earned B.S. (Summa Cum Laude) and M.S. degrees from Troy State University in 1977 and 1981 and an Ed.D. from Auburn University in 1985.  He held positions in institutional research, planning and assessment from 1985 to 2002 at two and four-year institutions in Alabama, Kansas, Louisiana, Tennessee and Virginia.  From 2002 until 2010, Dr. Kelley managed his own consulting firm and conducted well over 200 workshops or in-service programs on educational planning and assessment in more than 30 states, Washington DC, and Puerto Rico and coordinated international assessment conferences in Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Mexico.  He returned to the college campus in 2010, and worked at four-year colleges in Alabama and North Carolina until retiring in 2020.  Dr. Kelley began teaching watercolor and acrylic painting classes in senior activity centers in east Alabama and west Georgia in 2024.  He has taught classes at 12 centers in Alabama and 5 in Georgia.
